Both good looking bulls there Okotoks!Okotoks said:A couple of our herd bulls this year. The white one is Hatfield Bingo 2F by Diamond Director 7D and out of a Diamond Prohecy 21P cow. The red is Diamond General 40F, a Diamond Belvedere 29B son out of a Glenford Captain 39X daughter. He is seeing limited use before heading to his new home, a 500 head commercial herd in the foothills.
Diamond General 40G had a 4.91 ADG for 100 days, he was the high gaining bull. He also indexed 111 for marbling.
idalee said:Nice looking bulls, Russ! If it makes any difference to you, the pedigree information at Digital Beef for JT President 5B is incomplete. That is because the registration number for his sire, Kaper 4508 is incorrect (CAM478232) and that results in no information on his dam. The correct registration number for Kaper 4508 is 4143276.
Like the look of this bull!mark tenenbaum said:Homeplace Hot Commodity from one of the oldest performance herds in the country-He has the all around pieces-Thick and growthy and they will show (if there are any more shows)-Best real numbered Shorthorn CE Shorthorn bull on Cattle Visions for function eye appeal and THICKNESS His bull calves weigh more than the heifers-because they are so stout-but no pulls The weights are real-looking at them and guessing they would go no more than 85 pounds Ive seen the 1050 LB yearling 4 -4.5 frame bulls-They do not have the quality, grow , nor mass he does Second picture is terrible and Dale might not like it-But the light roan heifer in the background is his full sib She is pretty much the size and shape that has been discussed at length on SP Although purists might mistake her picture for clubby-She is not and performance cattle go back every generation for 50 years or more in her lineage Her first calf was a 73 pound heifer sired by him I see him really doing something bred to Canadian cattle-two very complimentary phenoypes Same on the Waukarus-those females are magic when there is even a partial outcross-and the accuracies of his numbers are in line with a Waukaru (in terms of year in year out documentation for many decades) O0

Duncraggan said:Also an impressive specimen! Also moderate frame score? Dale would know having seen him I would say no more than a 5-But again a guess at his wt at or over 13 years old would be over 2000 pounds Maybe 2300 O0
