Hereford Bulls

What Hereford bulls are people excited about? My girls have been showing Herefords, and they have a few to breed this fall. They've used some Revolution and About Time...not sure what some of the others are by. They want to add muscle and mass without extreme birth weights, and we like em to stay sound and productive. What do people think of this Lambeau bull from Topps in ND? Open to suggestions...

Do you want polled or horned? I used True Grit and really like the results and for a horned you might look real close at Churchill A1 and his sire Sensation 28X.

I have seen some good calves out of Cracker Jack and True Grit. I still like About Time. We use CRR Catapult and Perfect Timing this year.

88x, Tankeray, Catapult, About Time and our two herd sires we own with Hoffman got heavy use here the last couple of years.

Thanks, y'all. I'm not sure it really matters on the horned vs polled deal. Their mom grew up with Polled cattle and I think they would prefer to keep the cattle without horns, but I don't think she would be opposed to using a horned bull to get a little more muscle. I don't think they have many bloodlines where horns would show up in the first cross at least.

I have seen daughters of SHF Rib Eye (abs bull) they make good cows. Victor 719T has worked well for many breeders. KCF Bennett Revolution X51 interest me as he combines two good bloodlines Revolution and Proficient.  I have seen some cattle with Proficient  breeding and was impressed. I assume  your are breeding heifers. All of these bulls should provide calving ease.

They have both a few heifers and as well as mature cows. At least one of the heifers is a Revolution daughter, and some of the others may be as well. I know they've used some 719T but I don't think they're still using him. They also have an Excel daughter to breed later this fall that their mom really likes, and that heifer's mother is a really nice cow, but I don't remember what she's by. We've looked at a couple of Rib Eye sons...Boyd Masterpiece and Boyd Worldwide, but I don't know much about either of those bulls. I seem to like what I've seen out of Rib Eye as far as production cattle, but I'm not sure how competitive those cattle would be showing.

My vote is Boyd's Worldwide.  low BW's, deep red color, and adds mass.

I'm intrigued by both Worldwide and Masterpiece... They used Worldwide some, but ended up selling everything they had bred to him, so they haven't had any calves by him. Have you seen any calves by either of those bulls? I think they'd both make mama cows...I'm not sure if they'll make heifers that will show. And I say that...the ones that make the best cows ARE the best heifers, in my mind... I just mean to say will they have enough look to be competitive?
