What's the best bull for downsizing and adding hair and just plain style and power? What's everyones opinions of Made Right? Guna flush a Star Lake bred pb hereford to a bull and I'm looking for some options. I'm thinking carpe diem right now.

Made Right gets some dang good cattle, but will not downsize.  Carpe Diem will down size and add some hair and style.  I might look at using Torque the sire of the champion polled at ft. worth which is a carpe diem son or his full brothers that were new on the market this fall Encore or Kalija.  Just my two cents

There's a hereford bull named Revolution. He's worth taking a look at.  We have a Revolution x Kaddabra that is just flat out good.  I seen lots of them at Major's this year.  I'm honestly considering putting a hereford on some of my maines after seeing what they got out of the cross.

Thanks everyone! Any more info on some of these bulls? Owners or pics? Thanks. Will Made Right increase frame?

I'm a big fan of both Made Right and Carpe Diem, but neither one of them are sure fire downsizers.  Carpe Diem will usually, but not every time.  You might take a look at Crossfire, he's siring some good steers, and there's the added benefit of being papered.

SEK is carrying Levi Bond's bull Rawhide. I've heard that he is extremely good. Call Don Coover for his evaluation of Rawhide. He doesn't really look like a bull that will downsize from his picture though.

An easy calving Hereford that puts out easy doing cattle with less frame is F-R 8020 LAD 33H.  He is unique among smaller framed easy calving bulls in that his he puts good REA in his calves and plenty of maternal.  Check him outin http://www.altabeef.com/SireDirectory/ under Horned Hereford Bulls.

If you are wanting show steers. Red Rock's calves fit the description of what you are wanting. Ours are all downsized, structurally correct, thick and eye appealing. I think it would be best if the cow is really pretty fronted.

I have attached the pictures of Rawhide and Big Jake a Rawhide son.  Carver's sale has some really good Big Jake calves selling tomorrow and there will be a ton of rawhides born next fall.  Rawhide is as consistent of a sire as there is winning more texas majors as a percentage of calves born than any other sire out there.  We are really excited now that Rawhide has hit the open market to see what calves will be coming this fall.  He will downsize frame and is as stout of Hereford as you will  find.  His picture was taken at 10 years old.  Call Don Coover or Mark Copus if you have want some validation on Rawhide.
Levi Bond owns him and his number is 580-554-0370.  If you have any other questions just let me know.

Joshua
