Hi Ho Silver

I was just interested in seeing how many people planned on using Hi Ho Silver for their next calf crop. A good friend of mine visited him in Denver and said that he was one of the best looking bulls she had ever seen and was structurally sound! (which isn't too common now a days) If you were planning on using him maybe attach a picture of the female you were going to breed to him?

I don't breed to club calf bulls anymore,  but with a lack of responses I thought I would chime in with an opinion.  I saw this bull around easter at the bull stud.  He is a very impressive individual indeed.  The fact that he is th clean is surprising given the amount of hair he has.

He reminds me of a silver colored version of his sire-Monopoly.  Not very big, but chubby made sound and thick. Not extremely thick or small but very well balanced.  With that said I would use him on females similar to what you would use Monopoly on. Only thing is you can put him on a dirty cow. I would definitely use him on sound females just like anything else as he is a monopoly x alias,  so he has more club calf in his pedigree than his sire.  He is a sound made bull but always need to be cautious.
Good luck, after seeing him I would highly recommend him.

Not my opinion but I haven't seen him, I don't buy into any of those Bulls until there are calves on the ground; and I hate the common pedigree and stagnant state of the club calf gene pool (defect free or not, it's still common)

With that said, this was a review from a very reputable source in Missouri when I was grilling him about all the new bulls

We have an Alias heifer on the ground that looks good. I figure the combo of him and Monolopy will be a good combo. I have 5 straws of him coming, unfortunately they are backordered from ABS

We are planning on using him on my sons shorthorn cow and one of our Maine/Angus cross cows.  Both are bigger cows and sound. Excited to see what we get for calves out of him.

pulled cidrs  sat and planning on putting him in a 10 year old purebred shorthorn sired by kaboom. My abs rep that breeds said he had some of him in his tank. Im hoping for a butterscotch calf

I'm definitely excited to hit a couple cows in our herd with him. If all goes well maybe flush a bit to him too! I like the fact he's got an alias dam, I've always sort of liked that bull and he seemed rather consistent compared to others!

Lot 1 in Burch's sale tomorrow on ssponlinesales.com is bred just like him.  He is also double clean and I love his muscle shape, especially his top, he is great behind his shoulder where in my opinion a lot of Monopoly's are a little weak. I love his Alias dam. She's just a stout, sound, honest cow. I really like Hi Ho Silver and think he is unique in a sea of Monopoly sons.

That lot 1 structure is very scary... Yes its a video but still, and I think HHS is unique in his own ways, not like every other monopoly son. I guess I'll be able to really talk more about him when his calves start hitting the ground.

Not judging the Bulls dam, I'm sure she is a hell of a cow. but based off that I would assume you haven't seen many alias calves; consistent offspring is not his go-to card, even compared to heatwave

Its hard for me to trust a video. When I saw lot 1 in person three weeks ago he was sound, from the ground up. That's the one thing I really like about him dam, she is a sound Alias.

I believe consistency is missing in a lot of club calf sires. Is it because they are too crossed up or a wide range of frame scores in their pedigree? I don't know.    What I'd like to see is a Monopoly son take his father's place on the throne like Monopoly did with Heatwave. Heatwave with Heatseeker. I like HHS. LOT 1 in Burch's sale is a cool looking dude.
