On the day we all are thinking of Cathy and her family....Thought it would be nice to share the favorite memories.  I met her at the Ohio Beef Expo.  Very Speical!!!!!!!

Have I missed something???? Was any thing started either through the association or steerplanet in her honor??

Cathy was the first person to welcome me on here when I joined.    She was the voice of reason and had a heart that was always in the right place.  She loved her Killer Kitty and Woody and her cattle.  She loved her friends and she knew when they needed an ear or helping hand.

Ditto. I'll never forget her karma points with the reason "just because". I never met her in person, but am very thankful for the chance to meet her on here.

As most of you know, Cathy or better known as "red" was my best friend.  I think the best memory I have of her was her jumping up and down as I pulled into her driveway with Woody.  Her cheers and laughter turned to tears.  2nd would have to be her trucking around Maine Jr. Nationals in Kansas City.

It's been an up and down day for me but I just tried to smile my way thru it.

There was a book written several years ago called Balcony People, I have to think this description fits Cathy to a tee.  Cathy was a very ordinary person by most standards, she had severe physical limitations, she had family troubles and she suffered with bouts of depression, what made Cathy extraordinary was that she was our Balcony person!  The thing we loved the most about Cathy was how she made us feel about ourselves, she was never too tired or too ill to pass on a kind word of encouragement, she made us all better people!

I had the privilege of meeting Cathy at Maine Jr. Nationals and one of the things I regret most in my life is not being able to spend much time with her there, if there is a lesson learned it is cherish the moments you are given, you may never have the opportunity again.

We love you Red and know you are healthy and whole in a better place.

Forever in our hearts!

She gave me a Karma point once just because I was having soup for thanksgiving at my grandmas!  ;D  We miss you here on the planet, and I just bought my first red carrier cow!
