Hot Commodity son

Here is a couple of pics of a September daughter of the Hot Commodity son I posted on another link on here. She is out of a full sister to Asset and free on TH, PHA & DS. This bull is really doing the job, IMO.

Looks good think hes gonna moderate the BWS?-I think people need a Hot C son to use on whatever -Im talking about the everyday mere mortals-Your bull and Dales bull are 2 that ought to be available-Even if you dont get rich selling a few straws -they are both very good potential (not necessarily popular show genetic) ambassadors for the breed which are sorely needed-BWS being the biggest priority with growth curves next-plus they are solid red for the non color enthusiasts O0

Mark, So far he has been very easy calving. Tim has bred him to heifers and cows, commercial and purebred both.

Mark, Here is 3 other calves sired by this Hot Commodity son. The roan is actually a Plus heifer. She's a 1/4 Maine.

Those are nice functional heifers The roan is my favorite It looks like he is pretty consistent they are very similar in type  For limited use-this bull-FRESH AIR has really sired some good ones-from 4-5 different breeds or variations of females-hes just about a complete outcross to anything out there Hes a : Creole on a big proud jazz female and back to some oldschool larger thick cattle-which ads needed power to the mix 0 BW and triple clean, Id say real good and just unique on second calvers on-even tho he has been used on hiefers-They lost him quite young so there is a small amount of semen left -if I get a hiefer from him -she goes to either Dales or your bull Vice versa would really work JMO-they are llegit functional cattle AND COMPETE in very tough shows. His maternal sister is one of the top of her kind in the breed and just as unique Pictured are him as a long yearling and 3-hiefers-from different sides of the spectrum O0

Had a pretty good TN Agribition with the 4 daughters of Tim's Hot Commodity son. 4 class winners, Champion Plus heifer and Champion Purebred heifer. With # 2 & #3 top sellers. Posting the 2 champions and a pic taken of the bull last week with the cows.

Doc, what are some good stories you have selling to buyers that don't traditionally use shorthorns.

Sold a bull last year to a guy that didn't have any cows. Knew he wanted a Shorthorn bull, but was trying to decide what kind of cows to buy.
Had one guy with Angus cows that wanted a roan bull because he didn't tag his calves and he was hoping that he would get some markings on the calves so that he could tell them apart.
Had a neighbor with black cows that had a bull get hurt and needed a bull, so I let him borrow one of my herd bulls. The calves outperformed the rest of his black calves but his son wouldn't let him buy a Shorthorn because he wanted to say he had straight Angus.(not too bright) The calves were all solid black except for 1 solid red and 1 black that had a white dot in his head and a white sheath.

We are collecting this son of Hot Commodity on April 21st. He has really good epd's with BW -0.1, WW 52, YW 74, MK 20, BMI 137.84. His name is SLF Red Hot Commodity, x4240725. TH,DS,PHA free. $25/straw, no certificate. The one roan heifer below is a daughter that Curtis Wise's son in IL is going to be showing. The R/W cow is a full sister to the bull. Can I see a butt picture? He sure profiles from the side Hed be one to use on ones that do not have alot of Solution-Trump etc and have some clubby like vision-stuff-etc-Dales would be one to use on ones that do have the Solutuion- Salute-Maxum-wound up hard calving and sometimes very hard doing genetics--and are larger framed-both good JMO O0

He looks great in his work clothes!  Hot Commodity cattle work well in commercial conditions, and that is very desirable.
