I was told by a reliable source that the SH bull Rodeo Drive was bred up from Stein. True?

Somewhere in the range of 1,800.  San Antonio is typically around 1,500.

Edit:That was 2004.  It was 2,470 steers in Houston this year.

The only picture I could find of Great Northern. He was a 1969 Grand Champion Angus.

i don't see any holstein.  not only that, angus were frame score 7 and over 3000 lbs in about 10 years?

there are probably more maine genetics in angus than holstein.  just a guess.  not only that, but they type very closely to angus anyway.

the continentals started arriving just as this pic was taken.  hmmmmm

I had not heard that Rodeo Drive had Holstein in him.  I was told years ago his makeup included Red Angus, Chi, he was rumored to have about everything in him and there was also the rumor that he 'changed', was physically a different animal, from one show to the next.  Sometimes there are so many rumors it can be hard to keep up.
