How's harvest going?

Things are getting pretty serious here in NW Ohio.  It is an absolute mud fest!  The area seems to be slowly transforming back into "The Great Black Swamp"!  I would venture to guess that less than 10% of the acres have been harvested and little to no wheat has been planted.  It just won't stop raining!  It could be worse I guess; atleast it isn't snowing. :

Off the wall question here, but are you using one of those modulator picker all in one deals? I've seen a fair number of people around here switching to them, wondering what everyone is thinking on them.

Cotton is pretty awesome somehow this year around here, corn was average, peanuts are slightly above average, and bean projections look favorable.  We definitely don't have any mud to deal with though, our place hasn't seen a drop in over 5 weeks of what is usually the beginning of our wet season

With our killing frost in mid September, everyone up here is done.  Yields not good for the most part.  Most ground is worked, everyone is  gett'n ready for winter.

Not enough shekels in the bank acct to buy one of those ! I still run one of those old 9965 4-row machines.

The man who picks for us brought a Deere that throws plastic wrapped round bales out the back...less waste than the little half modules and even a full module, at the farm at least

Central Iowa harvest and most of the fall tillage is virtually done, some anhydrous going on.  Yields were better than anticipated considering little or no rain from July through September.  Finally getting some rain today, much needed.  The rivers and creeks haven't been this low for many years.  Beans have been generally in the 50-70 range, depending upon whether you were lucky enough to get one of those stray showers.  Corn has been 160-200+.  Beans were over 70 and corn up to 230 about 15 miles north of us where they got three additional rains we didn't get.
