If your calling him sickle hocked you must have some very straight legged cattle!wjmcattle said:So are we just going to ignore the fact he is short hipped and sickle hocked and I'm guessing his bone and foot doesn't match his body. Not to mention he bows out. Sure he is high performing but that doesn't make him great. Sure he will work for someone but I like the lot 1 in the same sale much more. That calf can add a lot more to a wider variety of operations.
/// It depends upon the type you are looking for:especially if you have pretty and sound but not stout enuff cows-like some Shorts and Angus-He"ll make 2 of lot 1-and when 1 is that stout-he isnt going to be picture perfect-Plus-given his breeding-he isnt a total cow killer in his pedigree:so for my uses-hes awesome O0wjmcattle said:So are we just going to ignore the fact he is short hipped and sickle hocked and I'm guessing his bone and foot doesn't match his body. Not straight legged they just like to flex their hocks and not drag there legs. I understand he has more mass then 1 but if you are looking for a bunch of mass and performance I'm sure he'd work but I prefer the length of hip and cockiness of 1. I feel I could use him on a wider variety of cows.ROMAX said:If your calling him sickle hocked you must have some very straight legged cattle!wjmcattle said:So are we just going to ignore the fact he is short hipped and sickle hocked and I'm guessing his bone and foot doesn't match his body. It helps a lot when people point out specific issues like him dragging his feet.wjmcattle said:Not straight legged they just like to flex their hocks and not drag there legs.
