Local law-enforcement officers and agents here, are Federally "287g" Certified. That way, there are no issues surrounding Civil Rights/Human Rights/Racial Profiling.

I don't think it's racial profiling , if say 80 % of your cities' population is the race that gets pulled over. Wether they are black, hispanic , chinese or white.

To be honest, I don't care if it is racial profiling. If you are here illegally, you need to be sent home immediately.

Way to go Arizona!!! Lets hope every other state follows.

Forget race or political correctness.  If I am pulled over, and I have my driver's license with me, the officer can verify my legal status in a matter of minutes.
While it may be an inconvenience, compare that to the problems caused by illegal immigration and the costs in terms of lives, drugs, crowded E.R.'s, crowded prisons, gangs, crowded schools, and entitlement fraud, not to mention anchor babies.
That is why the Arizona law makes sense and is supported by 70% of their population. That means many Hispanic Americans supported this law to protect their lives and properties, and their state and the environment in southern Arizona.
If old fat white guys driving ranch trucks were being pulled over because they were "the group" causing harm to others repeatedly for DECADES, I would expect to see red and blue lights.

knabe, please correct me if I am wrong, but there is NOTHING in our Constitution, or in our Bill of Rights, nor in any other legal document that says if an illegal has a baby in the US, they are automatically citizens.
It is my understanding, that this is just the way it is "understood and done" and has nothing to do with the law. Correct?

it's not in them, but there was case law i can't remember when, where they allowed it.  it should be overthrown.

basically what the democrats are doing is pushing all this legislation through in a strategic manner to get votes in november.  the margin is so thin, they need 40 million votes to retain their majority.

http://www.washingtonexaminer.com/politics/congress/Reid_s-immigration-push-vital-to-his-reelection-hopes-91725084.html

america is free to do whatever they want with the constitution with votes.  america, or anyone for that matter is free to overthrow their government with violence as we did with the british and  have many nations before and since, witness the palestinians.  there really is no concept of legality with human behavior.  we weigh the cost benefit for our actions.  laws are merely predictors of those analysis.

any race based policy is racist, even if it benefits non-whites.  of course no one can understand this since whites must be dead.  it's really all about birth rates and nothing else.  it always determines everything.

notice that EVERY policy is about getting reelected and guaranteed outcomes, never a level playing field.

end all subsidies now and make a tax system based on taxing at the point of revenue and nothing else.

as with immigration debate, the slavery debate rarely has enough in depth analysis or facts.  here's something from the, shock, new york times.

http://www.nytimes.com/2010/04/23/opinion/23gates.html

"While we are all familiar with the role played by the United States and the European colonial powers like Britain, France, Holland, Portugal and Spain, there is very little discussion of the role Africans themselves played. And that role, it turns out, was a considerable one, especially for the slave-trading kingdoms of western and central Africa. These included the Akan of the kingdom of Asante in what is now Ghana, the Fon of Dahomey (now Benin), the Mbundu of Ndongo in modern Angola and the Kongo of today’s Congo, among several others."

turns out there is slavery in africa still.  turns out that some people were against slavery in the US.  i'd never heard of that before.  some people died fighting to free the slaves.  turns out some were white.  who knew.

turns out some africans welcomed slavery as a means of protection both in africa and elsewhere.  course that doesn't fit the template and i'm not advocating that position, just stating what people did to survive.

irony.

being against a homogenous society like aztlan is somehow racist.  the media is busy interviewing these people about arizona and not calling THEM on their racist views.

but what can one expect from the media.  no wonder their ratings are down.  they can't figure it out. no one will represent the views of america anymore, only it's destruction by xenophobes like maldef, lulac, la raza, coalition for human rights etc.  these people are for taking over the southern half of the US.  but, i guess it's ok.  they will be more accepting of diversity.

We are no longer a "melting pot", but a "beef stew" and unfortunately, I haven't met very many people who will sit down and not pick around someone elses beef stew.

Anyone dare to compare the Roman Empire and the US? Anyone wanna guess what happened to the Roman Empire?

could the next govenor of arizonia be brown ??....or the next senators and congressmen of arizona ? ...the spanish spealking vote is  literally running charlie crist out of florida and maybe completely out of politics....sooner or later the majority of represenitives in dc will actrually represent the majority of the people who live there and vote....its starting now...no matter what color you are or state your from.....how many have already said " i quit " when this term is over?......things are chnaging for sure....but not to the fullfilment of any campaign slogan ...just the natural order of "the vote"....and holding people accountable....this is going ot be interesting...surely califronia/ new mexico/ florida ect...will be next?......jbarl

it's because of breaking the law and fooling americans into not having kids.   mohammed said his best weapon was the womb.  americans are committing suicide.  there is nothing wrong with defending one's self from people breaking the law.

i prefer to hold illegal aliens accountable as well as the people who hire them and the people who refuse to enforce the law.  when the mexicans take over, you can bet your salsa that they will be just as pissed when someone who doesn't look like them come in, except the whole country will have no jobs and people will become the richest man in the world because the government sold one man a monopoly.  perhaps we can just do what eco democrats really want to do, soylent green to save the environment.  it's really interesting that democrats don't go after the catholic church and impose birth control.  democrats will still be waving their wage peace signs as their heads are being cut off.

if a disguised monarchy is the natural order, then so is the guillotine.

once again this seems to boil down to labor...employers "are" now going to really be held accountable in arizona, and the employees are going to have to carry a valid "card"....and citzens now have a direct "local" enforcement tool....its now the the job of local police and sheriffs to " arrest" them when a complaint is made...no more one agency with one hand tied behind its back and another agency a thousand miles away.....a great day for labor, and a great day for young men and women who live there legally and just want to work.....could this be beginning of the  "black bean" party ? ?.....going to be an interesting summer...jbarl

non-citizens in this country legally are already required by federal law to CARRY identification or be subject to a fine.

illegals should be lumped into this pool, anchor babies should be eliminated and the problem might be diminished significantly with 2 lines of code.

there already is sufficient avenues to get into this country LEGALLY as 750,000 do it EVERY YEAR.

all illegals of all colors and ethnicities think the rules don't apply to them and this is dangerous policy to allow to stand.  the same applies to employers and advocacy groups.

i was watching a tv show called white nation this morning, i mean latin nation sorry.

People are trying to get into this country. They are not trying to get out. We will know when Ogama's policies have finally been implimented. People will be trying to get out of this country . I could take a while but we will get there.
