I would recommend Calf Manna. If your local mill or co-op doesn't carry it see what they have available in pellet form that could be used. Most should carry something in the 30 - 40 % CP range. Good Luck.
Show Bloom & Purina's Animax are somewhat similar to Calf Manna. Animax & Calf Manna are about 1/2 price of Show Bloom. I've fed all 3. Thought I liked Calf Manna the best, but Show Bloom always does a really good job.
Soybean meal is readily avaliable & it will boost the protien %.
Like steermaker said... Feed stores/mills should have a 30-40% protien pellet. Sometimes those pellets will have bovatec added, etc.
Corn Gluten Feed will boost the protien & it's cheaper to buy. It would be OK to add to creep or to use as a starter, but it's probably a good idea to gradually switch to a better protien source at least 90-120 days before a show. Also, CGF should be limited to no more than 30% of the total ration.
Be sure to talk to a nutrionist or a feed rep about the protien level, etc.. You don't want to get the protien % too high. Younger calves, like you have, can stand more protien. However, as they get older 12-13% is plenty.
