I do, and really badly.  I have dealt with it since I was about 9.  Just can't shut my brain off long enough to sleep. I have to wait until I'm completely exhausted and usually fall asleep with a book on my face.  I'll be really tired until I lay down in bed...gets on my nerves haha.

I used to be really bad & could barely sleep at all... now it's more because I just choose to be that way.  Not being able to sleep when you are extremely worn out is no fun at all!

Calving season and these blizzards has really messed with me. Most nights I'm in bed around 11 and up at 6, but with calving I've been up every 2 hours to check, so that's not helping me. The blizzards are messing with me because I'm playing bachelor right now and don't feel like going to bed, so I stay up late, and then when the roads finally get opened up I'm a wreck for 2 days :)

Having run this repro center for years, I have gotten really used to having to go breed at 12-2 AM, so I have also gotten the reputation of being a night owl. I get really tired some nights, sitting around waiting, some times I have woke up in front of the computer at 3 in the morning -- not fun to try and jump up and find everything you need to move with is NOT moving -- heheh!

I still get about 5-6 hours sleep a night, just different hours than normal people do! That is at least my excuse for being ABNORMAL as some call me! I do get the job done though, albeit different than most!

I have horrible problems. Take the normal person who does well of 6-8 hours of sleep and gets grouchy without a decent amount of sleep and I'm the opposite. The more sleep I get the worse I feel..and I can't even go to sleep til my body absolutely crashes. I normally sleep about 2 hours a night if that.

I am tired during the day at work and even so when I get home for a while. I make some dinner and feed out at the barn at some point after I get home and later in the evening when I get my daughter to bed I seem to have my second wind and cant go to sleep. Head bobbing and nodding as we speak!  :-\

Love Sam Elliots line from the movie Road House - I'll get all the sleep I need when I'm dead. I've used that line a thousand times. RW

I was sharing a room with a guy at a show last fall and I never slept the first night at all so I bought him those nasal strips. I didn't think he would wear them but he did and they worked fairly well.

Have you ever seen those hot packs that are full of grain and you put them in the microwave to heat them up?

I have 3, one for my back and one for each knee.  Add 3 Tylenol PM and that usually works from 11-5.

If I don't do that, I am awake at 2:30 and am stupid enough to flip on Fox News.....then I get riled up and lay there muttering about the bailout, national health, yada yada yada!

Oh I hear ya on the news channels at night.  If I wasn't sleepless before, I am after I listen to a few minutes of those.    I find that HGTV, Food Network, DIY, or one of the outdoor channels are more sleep inducive.

My husband had sinus surgery several years ago.  It didn't completely stop the snoring but it sure helped cut down the nose level & frequency.
