Interstate Semen

Just finished watching the Midwest Genetics online semen sale on C-W. Have I missed something with the smoke bull Interstate? His semen sold for $550 a straw for 2 straws!!! Meyer 734 was in the $400 range for 1 straw. Then there's Heatseeker that is priced by a semen company for $100, but on the sale it sold for $20 (should have bought that)! Good semen sale. Hard to figure.

I was wondering the same thing. I thought there were some other deals in this sale too.

I know within the past year there have been some Interstate donors pop up. I think he was just a late bloomer as far as his popularity. Maybe a little before his time. Green Oak bought an Interstate daughter about a year ago or so in the 80-100 thousand range. Forget where it came from. I think the owners of Interstate came out last year and said they had basically zero semen left in storage and sold most of what was remaining at the time. Probably explains it.

That's in the range for Heet Seeker also. There is a bunch of HS sitting around.

Exactly, I believe there was some on sp classifieds recently for $20-25.

One thing on this sale that struck me was the price that Hard Whiskey brought in light of Wade posting up that his semen was now reasonably priced so that we all could afford to use him @ $40.00 / unit.

Yes, Hard Whiskey was the other one that I was unaware about being hard to get, popular, etc. to command the price he did. What is MAB and Unstoppable selling for and how is the supply on each? I bought a package of them last night and had to take some HW clone to get it, but I didn't want to miss out on getting MAB.. We have one MAB bull on the ground that is pretty nice. Have one more coming in a couple weeks.
