Is using Ree-Heights on a heifer safe?

Alright, I have a REALLY good 3 quarter angus, 1 quarter red angus heifer that I think would make a good calf bred to a clubby.  I saw that Ree Heights BW was only 75 the heifers birthweight was about 80.

Depends on how you feed imho. Haven't heard any horror stories, but its all in the mgt imho. Also how good a relationship do you have with your vet?

If you want to ruin your good heifer then I would consider it.  BW is one thing, but calf shape is another.  Ree Heights is stout enough to even cause problems on some experienced cows.  I would only consider something with bet the farm calving ease for her first calf.Nothing against the bull, he is one I would use, but not on a heifer.

seen 3 ree heights calves last year and all were 85# and higher, plus they were just avg. calves at that, i would maybe try I-80, seen some small calves out of him, but if i were you i would use a calving ease angus or red angus bull, get a live calf the first time then you can cross her up.

My mom just so happens to be the local vet.  Ya, I will probably just use one of my dads red bulls on her first year.
