On both CSA and ASA there is a tab that shows any DNA testing that has been done. It is a really good feature for those wanting to avoid a genetic condition. I think more breeders should insist on these tests for potential herd bulls and especially AI sires. In this bull's case he has been tested for everything including the 50K. If more breeders did the testing we would see higher accuracies.
Also thsi bull's dam has some calving ease, she is sired by a Haumont bull and CF Prosperity was not only one of the first Trump bulls used but also probably of the better and most consistent lower birth weight sires from that breeding.

Just have the basic Shorthorn knowledge to figure out what he is and the cattle he comes from-


Id rather let the calves do the pontificating and there will be at least a few with 100 plus straws already spoken for  O0

It is this knowledge, both of JIT and of the pedigree, that is specifically the reason I, nor anyone else whose program I value, would ever consider using him.

The world no longer cares that you bought a bull that didnt work out-and based upon some of the breeding behind your cows that Ive seen here and there they were half of the equation and genetics from back in thier peds probably had something to do with it Even though they did not have issues with other genetics This is just like everybody elses cattle: they just dont continue to have  hissy fits ad nauseum Enough other  people are familiar with the cattle other than just Hot commodity behind him and  he will be used on a variety of types-And like anything else-Its the calves not: conjecture, nor numbers without real world experience; that will show if hes useful- Certainly not some cry baby vendetta The comments by the Canadian breeder above are pretty valid-and so is his program-which has been around a long time Even the Australian bull and the Proud Venture bull-were documented cattle for thier respective times-thats pretty much the entire pedigree when you include the first three- Haumont, Hot Commodity and Prosperity-if you "knew where to look LOL" (butchered a quote I stole from Knabe re finding a bull like this from the respondants to this post) you will probably find some of Okotoks breeding or cattle he has used  in your herd So now that he is an official respondant-we have the only breeder on this thread JMO that would have a long yearling bull MUCH MORE THAN  REMOTELY in the league of the subject animal PS lets see your long yearling bull(s) O0
