Does anyone know the frame score on this bull? Thinking about using him on a moderate framed first calf heifer. any opinions on the bull?

Rod Furrow used him and had calves this year, he is breeding 2 heifers for me this week, the first is a bigger Manchild/maine he is breeding her to Rodman... the second is a pure maine smaller all over, she is getting OCC Homer.... both heifers are 13 -14 months, the manchild weighs about 1000, the maine about 850.. Here is a picture of the maine.... Rod says the Rodmans are really nicer than the homers, thicker etc,  Hope this helps

Wanted to use el capitan but the precision scared the heck out of me and now that he has tested + for hydra glad we didn't...

hope the EXT demeanor doesn't come thru...

I have used him and flushed to him and have calves on the ground from heifers, recips and cows.  all unassisted at about 60 to 70 lbs. best calves are out of soggy females with some bone.

Anyone notice that this bull's pedigree changed from last spring? I ran into a guy in KC last fall from MCF and they were going to breed 100+ heifers to him this spring after a sampling last year. Brent

I went through some of my old Showbox and show circuit magazines and also found that his pedigree changed. He started out as a Gambles Hot rod son and is now a WAR Hall of Fame 108 son.  So what is he by, Hot rod or Hall of fame? Phenotipically he looks more like a Hall of fame, however they named him after Gambles Hot Rod. Does anyone have any explanation for this?

I also noticed that when he was a Gambles Hot Rod son he was owned by Jones Stewart Angus, Schnoor Sisters, and Nowatzke. In his new ad his sire changed and his owners changed, now he is just owned by Jones Stewart Angus and the Schnoor Sisters.
