Depends on the calf. I think a lot of people get caught up.on this weight thing when really the main concern should be to get them finished and filled out. The weight isjust a number that correlates to a certain size animal being "done". With that said, he would probably like a 51" steer weighing in the 1275-1325 range.

Well I am fairly certain that Matt doesnt judge any shows, so it would be pretty difficult for anyone to say what he is like from that aspect.  When it comes to steers, unless it is a prospect show, I have never seen a judge that didnt want one finished.  But when it comes to what type and kind he likes, I think you can pretty much tell what kind he likes by looking at his sire line up.  Other than some of the older bulls in there, I think you can find some trends in his bulls.  Most of them are fairly moderate framed, powerful, and on they profile they have tons of depth and style to them.  In my opinion I would have to say that is they type that Matt likes.
If you ever want to know what kind somebody likes, the most sure fire way to tell is to look at what they have at home!

Your key word is market. Why would it be any different from that of a market steer? Last time I checked a market class was a market class.

Really...don't see your concern...can't see him buying anything that isn't borderline perfect.  If its the heatwave 5 you posted, don't mess with it
