Is she kicking because you are surprising her or because she wants to? Is she an angus.. if so, good luck with that! (clapping)
We have a kicker this year and its been years since we've had one.. and yes she's got some angus. Anyway, we just put her on the wash rack and stood back and sprayed her legs with the full blast of water and let her kick the water, she kicks and kicks and wears herself out. We found several hot button spots and basically desensitized her with the water spray. Took several sessions but she did get over it.. mostly. She started up kicking again when we took her to her first show and then it was after she'd gotten scared at the new surroundings.
