Does anyone have the results from Leveldale sale yesterday.

Yes. It is one of the more important commercial traits.Olson Family Shorthorns said:Do we need to talk about udder quality as a commercially oriented trait?

I'm not saying all of my cows are perfect, and we're culling on udders now, but to be called a truly elite cow I think she could use some significant improvement in udder attachment and teat placement.
I saw the "Bruce Humble" or EF group of cows that Les purchased as first and second calvers years ago and loved the entire group. I have snap shots put nothing digital to share. Udders were ideal- I do not remember Moet daugthers ?Olson Family Shorthorns said:I guess that's fair enough. I base my opinion on cattle with a certain prefix on the ones I own and come into contact with regularly and it doesnt seem to be representative of the admittedly enormous and varied number of cattle they produce.
That being said, does anybody have any firsthand experience with this Rosewood cow family, specifically the ones at Mathers? Our Rosco is a Taylor Made out of a Rosewood (I believe she is Ringos maternal sister) and I just love him so far. I'd absolutely hate to have to cull his daughters or stop using him because of a persistent udder problem, which is our biggest challenge at the moment.
