lighting up a chute

been to many shows where there just isnt enough light to see so I am trying to think of some type of lighting to hook up to my chute but i still want to be able to tear it down after the show. I have searched everywhere for some light bars or somthing like that. didnt know if any of you have figured something out or have seen something that worked real well

you could use the contractor type lights. They can go on stands or they can be hooked on the the Chute. I am sure sullivans sells them but you can get them at Lowes or a hardware type store.

Thats what we do...clip on contractor style lighting off the top rail of the chute!!

i have also thought about this and had an idea. you can get these lights (pictured below). I was thinking of getting 2 bars that clamp between the top bars of the chute and have 1 or 2 of these hanging.

I have seen people mount fluorescent lights with the ballast on the tops parts of the chute facing down. It really works well i have thought of doing it to all of my trim chutes that i take to shows they are up out of the way and light is really not a issue with them

I really like the clamp on lights.

On any lighting consider shadows . if you mount high you will have shadows on the side or belly

Go to a Home Improvement store such as Lowe's, Home Depot or Menards and you can get a set of "trouble lights".  It is a yellow cord with up to ten "trouble" lights all wired into one plug.  We simply tape them around the top of the chute.  No shadows....great stuff.

I'm working on putting LED light bars in the trim chute bars. We're still trying to work out the details, but hopefully we can get it built in time for show season.

I've seen people zip tie extenstion cords to the top part of the chute on each side and use plug in lightbulbs and it  makes clipping so much easier.
