Willie the wondering gypsy and me-by I think Waylon maybe with Willie Nelson. It was on the juke box when the Copper Penny was still open.

Ridin The Storm Out - live version by REO Speedwagon, maybe the best rock song ever.

The Highwayman by The Highwaymen for country, mostly because it has 3 of my 4 favorite artists ever.

Wagon Wheel by Old Crow Medicine Show for "new" country.  Just like their original a little better than Darrius Rucker's.

Rock:
Turn the page -Metallica and Bob seger ( depends the mood)
Soul to squeeze- red hot chilli peppers
Stairway to heaven -led  Zeppelin
Zombie- the cranberries
Black betty- ram jam

Country:
I can still make Cheyenne- George strait
What I'd say- earl Thomas Conley or Gary Allen
Back where I come from- Kenny chesney or Mack mcanally
And pretty much anything George strait sings.

Definitely one of mine too!

"Now Tom Said; "Ma, whenever ya see a cop beatin' a guy
Wherever a hungry new born baby cries
Whereever there's a fight against the blood and hatred in the air
Look for me ma'
I'll be there
Wherever somebodies stuglin' for a place to stand
For a decent job or a helpin' hand
Wherever somebody is strugglin' to be free
Look in their eyes ma,
You'll see me!

My taste in music is a little different maybe:

Rock-Pearl Jam...Lightning Crashes, Guns N Roses...Cold November Rain,  Fleetwood Mac...Second Hand News

Country-Big & Rich...Save A Horse,  Johnny Cash...I Walk The Line,  Nitty Gritty Dirt Band...Fishin' In The Dark

I really don't listen to much country music, but try to have an open mind for the sake of the show steers.

More because of the things we were doing, the memories they created and the songs you were listening to at the time.
Rock
Foreigner - Juke Box Hero  (we were just running hard and having fun)
Joan Jett and The Black Harts - I love Rock and roll (5 in morning headed to clean the barns at the fair played at full volume through the stables)
Uncle Ted - most of his songs were good to drive to if you were in a hurry, plus I had a buddy who made a complete fool of himself rocking out to them.

Country
Driving around in Pop's truck that had the 8 track tapes playing, Johny Horton - North to Alaska, Marty Robbins-Big Iron, Waylon and Willie and the boys-Lukenbach Texas, and allot of the other oldies, like Merl, Tom T, Mel Tillis, and others.
Added, The Marty Robbins song - 160 Acres - used to just make me smile
