After the rain came through this morning it turned into a nice day, had a fullblood lowline ET calf born this morning and took a few pictures of the fall calves. The first picture is of the new fullblood calf ( kinda looks like im showing sheep haha I was scratching her neck because she liked it.) The other photos are of two of the fall lowline calves both 3/4 lowline that were born Oct. 11 that I just put on creep feed just over a week ago.

Thanks Austin
You bet. Because of the angle, in the third pic, the one in the distance sort of looks it's standing on the one in the foreground.  ;D

TJ,

The heifer in the bottom picture in front is the one you wanted to see how thick she is getting, I have a feeling I am gonna have to back her off feed. She looked like that a week ago before I even started them on creep feed. She will be to fat to make a good breeding heifer.

I'm not joking when I say this... even a ration of 2/3 soy hulls & 1/3 corn gluten feed will make em fat as lard if you aren't careful.  They both look to be in good condition without creep feed.  Honestly a Crystalyx Tub & hay might be all they need for now.  But rejoice, because you will have nice looking calves & a low feed bill!

Very good way to put it.  ;) Not even going to have to put them on expensive show feed!

Yep, just give them vitamins/minerals, salt, clean water, hay (forage) & enough protien & you should be good to go.  ;)
