If MAB or clones semen is sold it has to be up to certain  industry standards I see Nichols is doing the clones.I really believe that it is best to pick it up right from owner or at stud to eliminate poor handling. There are many things cow related that affect conception rates some man made.

I personally would stick with the original.  There are no industry standards.  The owner makes the decision about how much to dilute it out or not.  We've used Rodgers semen and Lautner semen on various bulls throughout the years.  Since I prefer to get my cows bred the first time around Rodgers bulls are the overwhelming favorite here.

If we decide to use this bull it will be the original.  I had heard that conception rates weren't great with him and was concerned.  Thanks for the comments.

On all the Rodgers bulls, the semen has to be able to pass his unthaw test. Have you noticed that some of his new bulls in the past few years didn't get released untill late?
Many new bulls can freeze early but few are good enough when it's thawed out.
This is why competetive edge feels safe garenteeing conception rate on the semen they sell.

To unthaw is to freeze. The opposite of which is to thaw. There was a very specific reason that genex quit handling lautner semen in the added attractions lineup....that being said I believe they are getting better at quality control.
