This is my take on the bull; Even though this guy has muscle and hair quality, he is an extremely sound structured and athletic in a very soft made package.

Ask Zane about his dam and maternal grand dam and how well they did on their first calves. You can see both of them out at ZNT's place. This bull is the result of decades of what Zane has been selecting for.

Jack (Telos) highlights some of Montego Bay's greatest attributes.  We have spent years putting together a set of cows that are structurally correct, contain muscle, have show appeal, are genetic defect free, are born with moderate birth weights, and have the maternal characteristics to make daughters that become functional cows.    Below are links to both the dam and maternal grand-dam of Montego Bay.  He was raised as a natural calf out of a first calf heifer (Jenna).

Audrey:  http://zntcattle.blogspot.com/2010/01/jazx-audrey-352n.html

We feel Montego Bay has so many characteristics that can be positive for the beef industry:  Moderate Birth Weight, Muscle, Free Moving, TH and PHA Free, Polled, Show Ring Appeal, and Fertility.

Thank you to those who have inquired about semen interests so far.

We finally got a break from the rain and most of the mud is gone, so we thought it would be a great day to try to get some new pictures of Montego Bay.  He is now 8 1/2 months old.  Our website, www.zntcattle.com, is also updated with not only this picture, but also a new video of him.

I agree about the newer pics. I never saw a larger version, but I don't think the one in the avatar does the bull justice. Remember also, most of the bull pics that we look at are early spring calves taken in Denver at 10-11 months old, so this one isn't quite there yet. He should take a really good picture at that age if his hair holds together

Being that he is a June calf and we are located in Texas, we do not have the option to wait until he is 10-11 months old and still be able to get a good haired picture.  We do not have a cool room, and the cattle are already beginning to lose their hair.  It will be in the 90's by May, and into the 100's by June.

As the pictures show though, he is continually getting better from his 6 month old, to 7 month old at Ft. Worth, to 8 1/2 month pics that were taken just the other day.  The video of him on our website has footage of him both right now, and when he was 6 months old.
