I had recently submitted a sample on a bull and was told the Myostatin test was not available through the normal ASA testing procedure. Seemed like quite the inconvenience considering it's a known defect in the population and I really wanted the results to show up in the database. Good news came today and apparently the lab is now offering the ASA the Myostatin test and it can be added to the list via the "additional test" column. I was charged the $27 additional testing fee you see on the far right of the form.
