I have 9 Maternal Perfections on the ground now. They are all 10-13 days old. Time will tell how good they really are. But for now, they look really good. I have NO clubby cows. Most are Sim/Ang cows and reg Angus. The MP calves are all Very consistent, hairy, 60-75 bw, good bone and a really cool square hip. I was surprised all that white didn't translate to his calves. All have some sort of white on face and not a single one has white on legs. I ,personally, am happy about that. Overall, I am very pleased but am waiting to be too optimistic until they get a couple more months on them.

Anyone out there that could give a report on having calves out of Maternal Perfection and "Clubby" or crossbred cows?

Will he add depth of rib and guts?

Does he tend to "shorten the side", or length of his offspring?

You sure that is not a pic of a Border Collie puppy?

He added some middle for me and added some foot size. The calves have a nice square hip and no structure problems. I have a steer calf out of an Ali that I believe will make a nice show steer. Time will tell.
