just thinking here.....
in South Dakota extreme drought is not uncommon for us and it has ALWAYS been cheaper to ship the cows to the feed than the feed to the cows.

Just have to find someone to take them in, but that shouldn't be too hard in this state.
PM me if you would like a few good farm papers to place an ad asking for anyone willing to take drought cows in.

I'm in west central Wisconsin, good alfalfa/grass mix rounds are selling for 70-90 a ton. We've been very fortunate to get rain when we need it and not get flooded. Pastures are looking really good. I've got over 50 acres of pasture with nothing on it, cattle markets up here are strong so I just can't justify buying more cattle right now.  I'd be happy to rent pasture if anyone needs some.

here in central iowa me and my grandpa do custome and we had 160 acres get 6 inches of rain on it after we cut it and we are 5 bales off of what we got there last year but now we cant get back to mowing so i have a feeking we will be kinda short on hay to
