Message errors with Steerplanet

Maybe this is for an administrator, but what is a HTTP 500 Internal Service error? I get this on steerplanet all the time when I go to a new thread. Then I have to close the page and try again. Several times because it tell me the system is down for maintenance or a programming error. Anyone?

Jason can tell you lots more about this than I can, but it will only happen when the server ( The system this site uses to get us all on the internet and have access) is busy, say during a high usage time frame.

I get this same page on occasion as well, just hit your back button, and try again, it usually will be very temporay at most.

Patience -- it is a sign that this site is VERY popular -- that is a good thing!

I have been disappointed with the performance of the site on the new server, most specifically with the database being unreachable at times for several minutes.

I am working the kinks out on a daily basis and hope to have a more stable site in the near future..
