Miami County Preview-Peru

We attended the first annual Miami County Preview show in Peru, Indiana this past weekend. If anyone is from around there or thinks about going next year, I wanted to give it the 2 thumbs up or 4 stars...The people running the show were extremely nice and everyone was very helpful. The rind itself definitely needed better lighting but for a first time show, they did a GREAT job. Mark Hoge was the judge and he did a great job. I highly recommend him if you run a show and get the chance to use him. He really laid it out there as far as what he wanted to see and how he was placing the animals. BUT most impressive was the way he judged showmanship, I have never seen a judge be so thorough with the kids.

Strietmatter family from Rensselaer had champ hiefer. Don't know on the steers, loaded before they finished...will assume Martin's cross...
