At our old place we always used a mister. We also had what was called rural water which is like city water and doesn't run off a pump. Now we have a sandpoint well. It has a pump system like all wells that I am know of. Will running a mister all day burn up the pump for the well? We have worried about it so no mister thus far.

I guess it depends on what type of pump your well has.  Mine has a submerged pump and a pressure tank so regardless of if it's a mister, a garden hose or the washing machine it only comes on when the pressure gets low to a certain point.  So a mister that is only pumping out 1/2 a gallon an hour should not mess with anything???? Call your plumber or well guy.

What you could do is put a large water tank in your barn with a 120v pump to pressurize the misters. All you would have to do is fill up your water tank when low.
