Monopoly VS Walks Alone vs BIM

I"d use Monopoly first. He's got a lot of good going for him. People dog him for throwing plainer calves, but I would much rather have those softer plainer types than the coarse, tight wound ones you see out of WA.

At least the BIM calves don't seem to be as coarse as the WA calves. They both will be small, so you might as well use the one that has less problems.

ive got my hannibull cow bred to monopoly this year and i think next year im going to go with BIM

  i think monopoly and walks alone do a good job on different kinds of cows. ive seen bim a few times and just dont care for him but thats just my thoughts. you have to remember the way that bim seman was sold last year, he only got used on the best cows. monopoly and walks alone got used on all kinds of cows, so really not a fair comparison on which of the 3 sired the best calves the first year. it took heat wave a couple years to really take off. it takes time to determine what kind of cows each bull will work on. my 2 cents worth  lol

Hannibal cows are usually Taylor made for monopoly, so if it's a good calf breed her right back to monopoly.

Kid, this is getting dumb. At least put some effort into looking up information before posting incorrect information. Headliner is not unproven, he just has not been used to the degree that his brother Monopoly has. Heck, I think he has been on the market a year longer than Monopoly come to think of it. Just because every top seller in the US isn't out of him doesn't mean he isn't proven.

Well don't use him them.

One of highest selling calves this fall was out of Interstate, a bull that has not been pushed really hard or "proven" as you say, yet someone knew their cow, thought it would click, and wham bam shazam it worked (to the tune of $96,000 I might add). This business is not about using the bull that every high seller is out of, it is simply about putting the puzzle together of what would best compliment the cow that you are breeding.

Hey Carlson Cattle,

I know that you've been asking for a lot of opinions on breeding your females, and that is perfectly fine, but I think you have been given many suggestions and will just need to go with your gut on the bull that you feel will work the best on your cows. The more times you ask for suggestions, the more bulls you'll get and the more confused you'll be.

I know what you mean about only having a small herd, and wanting to make the right breeding choice, I too only have four cows. I'm also making the assumption that you are young, and that's fine too, I myself am only 17. This site can be very helpfull to you, but people will become frustrated if you keep asking the same questions over and over.

Personally, I can't tell you which bull I would recommend, since I do not breed club calves, but sometimes you just need to forget what everyone else says and do what you think is best.

I'd also like to say that if you try to use proper spelling and grammar, people will take you more seriously. I'm not trying to be rude, I'm trying to help.

Your females look very good, and I wish you the best of luck. Have some confidence in yourself, it'll get you a long way.

Easiest thing would be to get out of the clubby business.

Nobody has a for sure answer for these deals.

I would look @ all of your threads, put every bull in a hat and pull one out and order semen.
