Well... Kinda of along story to him-
His dam standing behind him is a Heatwave x (halfblood Simmy/Angus cow who has produced some steller steers.)

We purchased his dam as a heifer, maybe 6 months before the TH deal hit the seen, other wise we wouldnt have went there! But we bought her with the idea of tryn to make some hereford type steers. Yup his dam has not a lick of hereford in her, but she had the markings. Well needless to say we never got her stuck the 1st few years AI, but she has always produced a sale calf. We had used up our half of cane of hereford semen, but i had remembered we had a neighbor order some hereford clubby type bull back in like the early 90's, well needless to say we found 1 unit in the tank. He was from select sires we think- IDAHO SPUD was his name. And this calf  is " sure the only calf born in the world this year outta him "!!!
Anyone remember this bull??? Well we think were pretty happy with the deal...lol
