NAILE feeder calf sale question?

I am thinking of going to Louisville to look for some steers and maybe crossbred hefiers for some young show kids. Because steers barely bring market price in our state and county.after they show most parents are not paying much for calved. That said here is my question.  What is the least dollar amount that I can tell parents that they will have to spend for a early spring calf.,

$1500 was bottom dollar range last year.

Here in Ohio feeders  are bringing $1.40 to $1.45 a lb for 600 lb good calves at the sale barn. Thats over $800.00 for sale barn calves. I think they will get higher. Fat cattlle high was $1.30 today in northern OH.
