So if he was in the Angus barn shares would sell for 15,000$. Then you could sell 10 shares to make him a 150,000 $. Man this thing could work.
justintime said:Matt... which bull was that? I saw a couple of very good bulls but they definitely weren't the ones that won the show. The bulls that won are OK but I thought there were some other bulls that were better and could maybe advance the breed a little more. Guess this is another example of how we all see things a little differently.
I guess if I was to pick a female winner, I would have had to use Vogel's white heifer by Hi-View Ace of Diamonds. She is simply awesome! Tremendous capacity and natural thickness. Massive in her make-up yet still looks like a cow. I watched her walk down the aisle, and she is free moving, and really strides out when she is on the move. She looks very maternal. The Maxa Rosa female that won is also powerful, but in my opinion she would have looked pretty good standing in the second hole beside the Vogel heifer.
Overall, the quality of the show was simply overwhelming. I don't think I am wearing rose colored glasses when I say that the Shorthorn barn had the most depth of quality in the entire show. I saw a Simmy heifer that sold for $40,000 this fall, and I doubt if she could have stood mid class in the Shorthorn show. There were outstanding cattle in every breed, but the Shorty deal was overpowering. I even found a couple Red Poll cows that I would love to clone. They were flat good!
