Well Beattie

This calf has a nicer hip then that other 1000.00 so call aka 4500 dollar calf

He roches on his top

Who cares about his belly at this age lol.......I would love to have this calf better then the other one becasue of his hip and i could loin his top and his belly will str8in out when he gets 1300 lb

So with that said I would NEVER PAY MORE THEN 1300 for him

I did the best for the buck buying the best cows I could find-over 7 years old. A couple produced untill they were 16. O0

You are asking a million dollar question. One dimensional view picture of a calf. Hard to evaluate. He looks like he might pinch a bit in his front and breaks at the shoulder. Could be the way he is standing. Like his neck extension clean. Looks like he has some hair. The belly would't bother me either if I had wormed him etc. He would be a great started project if he is sound. Market price plus 100 bucks seems fair if he is broke and clipped etc. But, I can't see him all the way around. If he is narrow topped and does'nt move well he might do better in the feed lot.

Look at the bad I observed:
Hes cut up and tight in his flank, is rounded out in his muscle expression of his round, frailer and finer constructed, broke behind the shoulder, and straight in his shoulder. Hes probably most likely unsound on the move and lacks some dimension and thickness about his top. With that said, unless you find some gullible buyer to purchase him for a thousand or two, take him to the stockyard.

Just my two cents.

He is worth around a dollar a pound at the sale barn and they will probably dock him there for his color, anything above that would be gravy.

Where the heck is that? We can only sell good, uniform black calves at 600 pounds for under $0.90 lb. Gonna be forced to hold onto 'em for a while this fall.
