Clip it?  I think that it would look cool with dreadlocks.  ;)

One night after spending probably too much time in the peanut bar in Denver, a few of us discussed the option of shearing one of the highlanders out. Fortunately, none of us wanted to be on blower duty for a long enough period of time to get one dry enough to clip. Sometimes ideas that sound real good at the peanut bar don't sound as good at 6a.m. the next morning. RW

Last year I was stalled near the ramp at Denver and the some of the Highlands that went be were clipped. They did their tops, shoulders and legs a little. Did not get to see if they were done this year or not.

Can't guarantee it'd be the prettiest thing alive, but I bet I could get it sheared out well enough to look presentable. Better yet, lets just torch it now and I'll clip it this summer after I've had a couple months to wrestle that hair into shape  O0

This was a very popular song out here a few years ago and the title track from a Corb Lund album, a band from Southern Alberta.

Enjoy!

Also, I saw a highland steer in a fat steer show a number of years ago, the peple actually paid a fitter to clip it out like any other show steer, it was "interesting" to say the least.
