I have pictured below my first calf this year. He is only hours old in the pic.
Sired by Uluru Buster 6T out of a CP Fergus cow going back to Waukaru 2109
103 lbs unassisted Solid white
What do you think of him?
Steer him or keep him as a bull?
Be honest. I know he is less than a day old in the pics.

Calf looks good but 103lbs....  hopefully some poor kid hasn't taken you up on your suggestion to use 6T on heifers.

A steer down here-but you are in a different market-and he'd be the equivalent of 85 -90 given the climate difference even less in a number of hi powered "breeders" hands-Your call-I remember when I had big cattle-he'd be the norm-with no problem O0

XBar the calf is from a 2013 model cow that I own
6T has worked well on heifers but I would caution breeders that he can throw a big calf

I would agree with Mark and would say down here he is a 90 95 lb Calf. That is near the upper limit for keeping a Calf a bull in my opinion.  I would watch him grow
I have a hard time apraising buster calves.  They always look better closer to weaning than at 2-3 months of age (when I normally process calves).

I like him much better in the updated photo.  He will be fun to watch grow.
