Try to be more patient with those that are helping me in the barn, at a show, or around the farm.

Get my butt to the gym more often.

Quit chewing (after Denver).

Try to by more optimistic about a lot of things rather than pessimistic.

I am right there with you on that one. I have a terrible habit of being a grouch when I get stressed out with getting cattle ready. I have become much better lately. I just start earleir, slow it down, make jokes, and remember that I am actually doing something that I want to do, and that nobody has forced me to be at that particular show, or whatever it may be. The cattle are the choice I made, might as well enjoy it...isn't that why we started in the first place? Oh, and forcing yourself to smile is a big help...especially when you really dont want to ;)

Good luck quitting chewing. That is a hurdle I have crossed successfully.

To stop drinking regular pop...only diet.  Not to quit chewing, but slow down a bit.  To try to get back to the gym and start working out again.  Kinda let myself go in 2008. ;)

I dont think I could go cold turkey so I will say cut down on cussing. Have fun in the barn and show and not worry so much when I am there.

mine are as follows:
take better care of my health & no falls
get out to barn to work w/ calves
not to be so thinned skinned
try to eliminate stress in my life (can't ignore my mom but need to let her not get to me)
not hold grudges
thank God more often for all that he has given me
be thankful for what I have & relish those that love me

I've already blown one of my resolutions. The year started out no better than it ended fall wise.

A New Year resolution is something I've never done, until about 5 minutes ago.  I just finished watching "Facing the Giants" on TBN.  I saw it when it first came out, and also watched Sherwood Church's production of "Fireproof".  If you have not seen these movies, rent or buy them today.  The actors are volunteer, but the message of God's power is presented most awesomely.

I resolve in 2009 to get deeper into God's word, striving to be more like Jesus.  HE change my life and has promised me eternity with Him.  On this Earth, I'll always be a sinner, but Jesus has already taken my sins of the future and placed them as far away as the east is from the west.

If YOU were to die today, are you 100% positive what will happen next?  If you don't know, please PM, send an email, or give me a call.  There is only One Way to GLORY.

In HIS grip,
Dan
