NIACC Club Calf Sale on October 12th!!

I talked with Abbie Johnson today at North Iowa Area Community College.  They have opened up their sale to a few select calves from area breeders as well as selling the top end of the calves from their herd.  They will be selling a full sib heifer to the MN Champion heifer from 2009 as well as some other very good calves.  We will be consigning 2 or 3 very good calves as well.  We'll offer a double registered (Shorthorn Plus/Maintainer) steer out of our Vortec/Myrtle Bo cow and the Maine bull K&A Spice that should work well for someone and a Myrtle Bo X TM Gus purebred Shorthorn heifer that's very maternal and really starting to come on.  WE'll also have a really flashy Heat Wave X Commercial black&white heifer.  If the weather cooperates we should have a few pictures by early next week.

Should be a good spot for 4-Hrs and FFA kids to get a good calf for a reasonable price.

That sale has really stepped up the last couple of years.  Some of the new students running the sale have some great experience and the calves have looked really great.  We bought a sleeper there last year and had a great show season.  The addition of some consignments will really take this sale to the next level.  Planning to go again.
