I think we should all treat him with the same respect and dignity that all the democrats gave President Bush these last 8 years.

here's some more cleverness

http://illinoisreview.typepad.com/illinoisreview/2008/11/why-doesnt-rahm.html

One reason may be because Emanuel and Rule declared their 4228 North Hermitage home as the office location for their personal non-profit foundation called the "Rahm Emanuel and Amy Rule Charitable Foundation". As the non-profit's headquarters, their home could be exempt from paying property taxes.

gotta remember, we pay, they don't

more hope and change.

President-elect Barack Obama's newly appointed chief of staff, Rahm Emanuel, served on the board of directors of the federal mortgage firm Freddie Mac at a time when scandal was brewing at the troubled agency and the board failed to spot "red flags," according to government reports reviewed by ABCNews.com.

According to a complaint later filed by the Securities and Exchange Commission, Freddie Mac, known formally as the Federal Home Loan Mortgage Corporation, misreported profits by billions of dollars in order to deceive investors between the years 2000 and 2002.

Emanuel was not named in the SEC complaint (click here to read) but the entire board was later accused by the Office of Federal Housing Enterprise Oversight (OFHEO) (click here to read) of having "failed in its duty to follow up on matters brought to its attention."

Emanuel may have a little problem with paying his taxes.

this country is a joke.  one tax break, subsidy after another.  that's why the tax code is so long.

maybe chris matthews can help a little more.

People who make their living off of other peoples taxes can not get a raise unless taxes go up. Now the government wants every one to work for them. Maybe we could just give them our paycheck and they could give us what we need. Gas, housing, clothes, food, wouldn't that be great.

I'm as racial to any one as they are to me, nothing more, nothing less.  I',m as racial as Jill said as the 98% black  people on tv weeping after the election results were in, as racial as Oprah,                ok,  that might be pretty racial but yes.    We who voted for McCain will have a luxury of saying, I TOLD YOU SO, sooner than later i would bet.

I too noticed that a lot of supporters of Obama that commented after it was announced that he had won the election made the most of the fact that we had elected a black man. No mention that we had elected a man with this certain policy or another one. Have heard no mention that now we will get out of Iraq or now we will have nationalized health care plan etc.

If race was not an issue to the black community, why is it that is what was discussed and highlighted but their comments? I still feel that more people voted for Obama because he was black rather than voted against him because he was black.

One thing that may come out of having a black man in the white house is that is may remove the ability of minorities to play the race card. If one black man can become President, all other op portunites should be deemed available for all other minorities, women included.

On a side note, if Obama had lost, do you you think the the black community would say he lost because he was black of because of his policies, programs and beliefs?
