In preparation we had went out and on a steep hill behind our barn made a ramp out of dirt, packed it down, poured water on to freeze it. Then 16 inches of snow fell and we packed down a path that went over the ramp. My aunt and uncle had school buses so we took some old inner tubes, blew them up and went tubing. We were able to use that ramp for 3 weeks, by the third weekend we had a crowd gathered and had actually rigged a pulley to come back up the hill.
Speaking of which, does any of the ski slopes around any of you have snow tubing? There is one about an hour from us that does, there are about 10 lanes and a conveyor that will take you and your tube back up to the top, it is a blast.
We have one about an hour away too at bogus and its suppose to be really good
