Midas - $150 to 200 he makes great cows - limited market - not all that many people interested in Midas, most who are have semen in their tank

Executive - 0 to $5 - vastly over rated and over hyped bull

for all intents and purposes, Midas is good from a nostalgia perspective...but there are far better bulls out there than him (some of his descendants offer his positive traits in an easier doing package, less rangey package).  now if you are breeding some dumpy Red Angus cows...or even some Herefords...using Midas might get a little exciting.

Thanks for the replies! We just went though the tanks and found 3 straws of Midas, I was just curious what he was worth, didn't expect to hear of too many people using him anymore.  WE've also got 4 embroyos MidasX Macho in the tank too! Thanks for all the info!!!!

Ruby 224X (ZTA Miss Black Ruby 224X) was probably the most famous Midas cow - she may still be on the Wise Maine Anjou page - I have  Midas daughter and could stand to have a field of them - great cow - downside he is horned and black (some think the latter is a plus)

check your embryos - Macho was a bull - did they come from the Excel dispersal perhaps indirectly?
