Has anyone used SVF/NJC Mo Better M217 - Reg#: 2180592?  Thinking about breeding him to a heifer in a few months and have found a couple of pics of offspring but not a ton.  Looks like he throws a baldy calf consistently.  Needing something to correct a somewhat tight stride, possibly clean up the front neck and width is always good as well.

Mo Better didn't work too well for us, though I've seen some good ones.  What's the pedigree of the heifer?

I think Mo Better would meet your criteria, except for cleaning up the neck.

LN is correct in that regard with our experience as well.  Ours were sloppy fronted.

I think he'll work for you.  We didn't get extreme thickness when we used him but calving wasn't a problem.  We are using him on some heifers.  If you do a search, I think there are several posts on this bull.

I have heard that Built right sired cattle seem to be hard keepers.  They are great if you raise your own corn, but tend to fall off quick unless given high quantities of grain.  Like I said though, just what I have been told.  Does anyone have Mr. Amigo calves on the ground as well?

I've had good luck with MO Better on heifers..you can type in LinZ on search and see several posts of a Mo Better heifer I raised that is pretty darn good I think.

We have quite a few Built Right sired critters running around.  Sure wouldn't say that they are hard-doing.  In fact, the oldest female out of BR that we have, from his first calf crop.....would be in the top 5% for fleshing ease on the whole place-out of 150 head plus!

The BR sired bulls that we've sold have sure held their own on grass too.

The Built Rights I've seen are the big bodied, easy fleshing kind.  If I had to criticize the bull, it would be that sometimes you get some extra whit on the calves.

Extra white is a valid criticism.  Have seen it happen.

However, out of probably 30 plus born, I can only say one had too much white at our place.
