Dam: Kadabra X 224X

Birth Date : 2008

Highliner was described by many of the "well-known" master cattle breeders as the most complete display bull at the 2009 NWSS. He is big footed, extra sound, and huge boned with excellent hair.

His dam is a full sister to the Grand Champion Hi% Female at the 2004 Maine Jr. Nationals. His unreal backleg is boned to 9" in the photo.

Highliner might need to be considered the most exciting all-purpose bull around, considering his maternal pedigree goes back to the famous 224X female. He'll make steers & females!

I will agree that Highliner was a very complete bull, I think his greatest downfall was being stalled so close to Womanizer. He wasn't the stoutest structured, biggest footed, heaviest muscled bull there. But he was stout enough, muscular enough and had enough bone. A perfect example that sometimes being just a good bull doesnt mean being ripped out your mind but also sound. In my opinion Highliner was a sound hairy bull that has potential of passing on style and hair and powering up females that have enough rib. It will be very exciting to see the future he has!

Dad burn,I wonder who Troy Polyock hired to say those nice things about Highliner. All jokes aside, this calf was in a friends showbarn about 5 miles from our house, just before Denver. In fact he was stalled with Calv-a-Bull. Yes,Highliner had/has a lot of hair, but there is significantly more to him than just hair.i believe when all the hype has settled down on some of those other bulls,Calv-a-Bull and Highliner will be more than just a fad. Calv-a-Bull didn't have 5 inches of hair to play with, but he has a lot of substance. He may prove to be calving ease as calving ease go's for the club calf world. I believe he comes from a Dr. Hook mother, which should add style, adequate hair to go along with Dirty Harry's capabilities.Quite possibly both of these bulls were overlooked in Denver because of all the Fluff that you see out there .

I looked at Highliner at Nichols last spring. He as not fitted at that time, and was a very complete and very pretty profiling bull. I was very impressed with his soundness. SOUNDNESS. I hate crippled cattle. The only real fault that I find with Highliner is his th status. Other than that he is a good one. JMO

The day that we went around to Nichols & Hawkeye last spring, he would have been my choice of all of the new crop bulls that were in. The thing that I wonder about, is how big the cattle will be sired by him. He looked like he may sire calves a touch taller than what has been looked for recently. I did really like the bull and hope that we will see some calves out of him next spring. Brent

He was also my pick at nichols this summer, just waiting to see him as a mature bull. Walks alone was also there and looked better but not as big as highliner. If walks alone keeps growing and gets some more leg he would be my 1st pick.

The first time i saw highliner i was simpily amazed by the shear power he pozeses. He is a super functonal bull that stands on a huge foot and a huge circumference of bone and while still being super sound. He is soo heavy muscled and super super hairy.
