We like to breed a little shorthorn into our show calves and JPJ has usually been our go to bull when we do. Since semen has gone up we breed select few to him or use it to flush. Plus, I've got some daughters from him that I'm thinking about breeding shorthorn. I've always liked the looks of Get Serious but never really had more than 1 or 2 I wanted to breed to him. I searched previous posts but never really found an answer about how his calves are.

Can anyone tell me their experience with him? What cows does he work on, BW, disposition, heifers out of him good mothers, color, etc?

Thanks for the help!

We have bred several cows to Get Serious. He is not a "calving ease" bull, and I would not breed him to a small/moderate framed cow or anything younger than a 4 year old.

Calves are good. Thick, hairy, and sound. Here is a couple pictures of a heifer out of him.
