opinions on these calves Thanks!!

I'm trying to decide which one i like better for 4-h  market steer.
My fair is in july.

I think I like the 2nd one better.  1st one appears to slope or round off in the rear some and maybe looks a little short from hooks to pins from the photo.  Would like to see them move out.

I think they both have a lot going for them.  I agree that the first steer appears in the pic to be a little shorter from hooks to pins, but I LOVE his front extension.  It makes him a very fancy steer and an eye catcher.  Since I like fancy, even in a market class, I'd probably go for #1.

I would like to put the front of #1 on the back of #2.  Pictures alone are tough -- I like to see them for reals.

I agree pretty well with the comments-but I think there are issues with the hind wheels on both these calves-although a wrong step-or a bad picture can totally fool u-overall these are two nice calves in thier own right-back in the day-hooks-pin slope ment calving ease-go figure. I know steers arent breeding cattle-but a commercial hiefer that lokked like that-would be usefull to me. O0 <beer>

Hard to say form the photos you posted. Both are nice steers.  I think I would flip a coin.

Both very nice calves, we had an Invincible last year, as a fat he was very complete, really came on the last couple months. I do not how yours is but ours had a great disposition.

Hard to tell because the second calf set up much better for the picture.  First calf might be deeper bodied and thicker, second calf looks prettier. Think of it this way - Which one is going to look better with less hair come summertime?
