This is a couple recent pictures of a Angus Bull we are raising and are going to show for the 2017 season.  just curious what people might think of him.
Performance:  70lb birthweight.. 900 actual weaning adjusted to 903 with a 4.31 WDA.  weighed him today and weighs 1300lbs.  he is a 2/7/16 calf out of EXAR Blue Chip and one of your Express cows that is a daughter of Bear Mtn. Pride.

he's got the right prefixes.

maybe a touch narrow based behind.

use a flash. even in broad daylight on black cattle.

take the picture around 9-10 am, that way there is less shading on the animal.

otherwise all you see is a monotone black palette.

Nice calf.  What's the plan with him?  Showing him?

thank you!  not 100% sure on the plan with him.  we are showing him at the end of this month at our Kansas Angus Futurity show and then have him entered at Fort Worth Stock show.  this is a new adventure for us.  we have shown heifers and steers for about 5-6 years now, but this will be the first bull for us...we will probably make a decision after we see how he stacks up at Fort Worth as to what shows and how many we take him to.  He will definitely go to Angus Jr Nationals in July.

I agree, he looks really nice.

Little bit of advice, make sure you get that tailhead mowed down some more the next time you show him. I bet he's a little longer hipped and smoother back there than his picture shows at the backdrop.
