I have a cow that I've bred to Paddy O' Malley three consecutive years, and she has thrown really nice and fancy calves from him.  The calves have been square in the hip and stout, but are just a tick tall and could use a percentage more thickness overall.  I'm pretty sure that the high percent Maine is a key, and am considering Hard Core as an option to take her calf up a notch.  Is Hard Core a good choice, or what other bulls should I consider.

Her calf from this spring is pictured.

I have made several Paddy O cows ( first calf this year)  They seem to be making good cows. We have shown two in the last two years. Not thick enough but nice and stylish. He seems to work on many kinds of cows.  I too am wondering what to breed them to.  This year some to Gigolo Joe and some to Infrared to add thickness.  Any Ideas out there?

What's her dam like and breeding?  Mine are from commercial Hereford/angus/simme cows.  I started AIing 5 years ago for heifers for my kids to show. It is building up my herd . I suppose the herd is getting better?  Or maby just different. I was told before this AI thing  that my calves were among the best at the local sale barn
