My wife took these pictures this evening.  Thought I would share.

You have some very long cattle. The bull is kind of sloppy fronted but that doesn't affect performance. Really like all the calves though especially the first one.

Silver- thanks for the comments

We have high hopes for the first heifer calf, her mom has never missed on 5 calves, out of 5 different bulls.  The herd bull is starting to show his age, he will be 7yrs old.

Where are you located?  Calves with hair like that around here would drown in a creek/pond, or die of heat.

We are located in SE North Dakota.  Galloways don't suffer in the heat as much as some assume.  Our cattle never bunch up in corners to fight flies, they are usually scattered thoughout the pasture grazing during the day, or lying out in the open.  We have ponds/creeks in the pasture, and the cattle are very seldom in it.  Don't get me wrong, when it is 100+ and high humidity, with no breeze everything suffers, me included.  ;D

It does make it interesting.  We don't hit 100+ very often, normally upper 80s and 90s.  In winter we don't always hit -50(with windclill).  -20, now that's typical early morning sunrise.  We have to be pepared for all extremes.  The eastern 1/3 of ND has a lot more humidity/rainfall that the rest of the state.  I wish I could say the weather keeps the trouble out, but it definately slows during the winter.

I've been extremely impressed with the pictures that you post up of your Galloway cattle. Seem to be just right in so many ways. Brent
