don't see anything in his pedigree, doesn't mean it isn't there.  his page on pedigree on website does not list any results or a dna file, only a blood file.

don't know anything about him.  he's a red powerplant son with long spine pedigree on the bottom and he's probably big, so best used on the proverbial soggy cattle and watch out breeding the f1's for consistency.  he's got decent milk numbers for a powerplant which is pathetic.  i have a double bred power plant out of midas who has plenty of milk.  it's hard to find milk like chinook has on the bottom of his pedigree which according to epd's comes from his mother.

chinook seems to show up in pedigrees and with milk in short supply, don't see why people don't sample him other than it's mostly viewed as a step backwards, though one can get the % maine up.  for what it's worth, probably not much, i had chinook bovigen tested and i think he was hetero for 3 marbling genes and i can't remember how many tenderness.  i'll double check.

Chili was a red bull with some underline white - not quite as tubular as his sire probably due to the cow family - Tryst was a donor cow. Although I  liked my Chili calves haven't had enough to compare him with Witch Doctor - personally I like my WD females; I would not have placed him above Chill Factor when it comes to making females  - there is nothing in his pedigree to suggest he is a TH or PHA carrier but I do not think he has been tested

Dustin Dorsey (Dunn Rite Cattle, CO) could probably give you more info

Thanks for this thread!  I have a georgeous RA/Chili heifer this year from a straw I've had in the tank for about 18 years & was wondering about the TH/PHA status.
